It’s an exciting promise that the first day of Spring, which was March 20th, is finally here! I captured this beautiful Hyacinth along the Panhandle Trail:

Hyacinths are fragrant, spring-blooming perennials native to the Eastern Mediterranean, now found worldwide. While beautiful, hyacinth bulbs contain a mild irritant, so gloves are recommended. Culturally significant, they feature prominently in Persian Nowruz celebrations and appear in literature, contributing to their long-lasting appeal.
