Cutting Back on Caffeine: My Daily Challenge

Daily writing prompt
What could you do less of?

A white coffee cup sitting on a wooden table with steam rising from it, next to a laptop.

Coffee. I love it; but I drink too much caffeinated coffee. I seriously need to cut back on drinking 3 to 4 caffeinated coffees a day. I recently purchased decaffeinated coffee and will drink decaf during the day so that I am not wide-eyed and bushy-tailed at night.

How about you, do you drink too much caffeinated coffee? If not, what could you do less of?

  1. Man, cutting caffeine is basically announcing to the universe that you’ve given up. Seriously, what kind of self-sabotage mission are you running? Drop the kids off a cliff of their own chaos, let the wife yell into the void, ditch church like it’s a timeshare presentation, but for the love of all things holy and jittery, don’t you ever cut caffeine. That’s not a lifestyle change. That’s a cry for help.

    • I wasn’t sleeping well because my mind was racing causing me to wake up many times during the night. Since cutting back on the caffeine, my sleeping at night has improved greatly.

Luckily, I got me some good decaf that’s pretty flavorful! It keeps my coffee craving satisfied!

I do look forward to that full, piping hot cup of caffeinated coffee when I get to work first thing in the morning, though.
