A pansy, the purple flower, caught the attention of a honeybee. In the center, there’s a yellow flowering plant called American Yellowrocket.
I photographed the pansy at Oglebay Park’s Bissonnette Gardens. The American Yellowrocket was photographed at Cross Creek Park, located in Avella, Pennsylvania.

The barn was photographed along West Virginia Route 88 just outside of Bethany. I photographed this very same barn many years ago with my first digital camera back in 1999 (the Philips ESP60 with a paltry 640×480 resolution).
Woah! That barn must be spooky if you had shot it at night I bet!
I never thought of that! I bet that would make for a good Halloween themed shot!
Heck yea!
That is an exceptionally dark and rich shade of purple. I appreciate it greatly. The American Yellow Rocket is quite prevalent; I frequently observe it during my journeys. The barn appears to have endured many years of aging and weathering, yet it remains standing. It somewhat reminds me of home.
