Mouth-Watering Apple Cinnamon Pork Chops

Now that I’m focusing on a healthier diet, I’m excited to skip the fried foods, burgers, kielbasa/sausages, and red meat. The missus found this delicious recipe for succulent apple cinnamon pork chops that fits my goals perfectly! They’re amazingly tender and packed with yummy flavor, and the apples are local, which makes it even more special!

Here’s the recipe if you’re interested in trying this deliciousness yourself because I am not sharing!

Apple Cinnamon Pork Chops

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 6 hrs | Servings: 4–6 | Method: Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 4 to 6 thick-cut pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • 2 large apples, sliced
  • 1 cup apple cider (or apple juice)
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon (or 1 packet dry onion soup mix mixed with cinnamon)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Layer the Pork: Arrange the raw pork chops in an even, single layer at the bottom of the slow cooker insert.
  2. Season: Season both sides of the pork chops lightly with salt and black pepper.
  3. Add Apples: Scatter the sliced apples over and around the pork chops.
  4. Mix & Pour: In a small bowl, whisk together the apple cider, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon. Pour the mixture evenly over the pork and apples.
  5. Slow Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours (or HIGH for 2.5–3 hours) until the pork chops are fork-tender and the apples are soft.
  6. Serve: Plate warm and spoon the sweet, velvety apple-cinnamon pan glaze generously over each pork chop.

This is the second time we’ve prepared this dish, and honestly, this is one of my favorites! We actually used a good quality pork tenderloin for this VS pork chops this go around!

Do want to make it even better? Add freshly cooked green peas to your plate!
Scrumptious!
