A Quick Glance Up – And A Great Photo

I was at the mall this past Saturday with the missus, and I just happened to look up. And I saw something really cool – one of the atriums (this one is over the children’s play area) – The light was hitting it just right, creating these really interesting patterns, so me being me, I snapped a quick photo with my iPhone:

It made me think about how easy it is to miss the details around us when we’re busy doing our simple everyday routine. Just a simple glance upward can reveal little pockets of beauty and interesting shapes. It’s a good reminder to take a moment, look around, and maybe capture a small, unexpected thing!

What’s something you’ve noticed recently that caught your eye?

  1. You are one of at least half a dozen people who have recently reminded me to look up. I am wondering if it’s a sign or a wake up call, maybe? Anyway, I love the advice!

  2. Because people are often focused on their phones, they rarely look up. However, the sky is always revealing something, especially according to the Bible, as time progresses. I make a conscious effort to look up frequently as a reminder of scripture. The sky and elements like the moon, stars, sun, eclipses, and planets truly capture my attention. Additionally, I take note of birds in the air and the phases of the moon. I prioritize observing these phases.

Thanks for reminding us to take time to look up, Braden! Beautiful capture!
