I was absolutely captivated by the art of bowing when I was a young child. Saturday afternoons were my favorite time of the week when the Pro-Bowler’s Tour aired on ABC. The hosts, Chris Schenkel, and Nelson “Bo” Burton Jr. made the show entertaining, and my favorite pro-bowler to watch was Earl Anthony. I also fondly remember Marshall Holman and Mark Roth, too!
My birthday wish when I was a fifth grader was a real, honest-to-goodness bowling pin! My dad actually brought one home for me on my birthday, too—a Brunswick “Mixer.” I have no idea what happened to that pin.
Aw! What a sweet memory – haves you bowled recently!?
Sadly, no. I don’t have the lower back for it anymore. Back problems suck!
I hear you — back problems really do suck.
It gets worse when you get older. 😔
What a great memory. I hope there were tons more good ones 🙂
Awww, thank you!
of course 😊
