There are those special moments in nature that demand my attention from afar. I vividly recall this photograph from September 2007, while visting McConnells Mill State Park. Across the winding expanse of Slippery Rock Creek, this particular formation lay distant but undeniably beautiful. With the 12x optical zoom of my camera at the current time, I brought this faraway subject into sharp focus—and the resulting image you see here is the magic of that dedicated reach.

I think this is my most favorite capture of 2007!
