The Missus and I ended up in Indiana, Pennsylvania, for a delicious breakfast at Perkins this past Saturday. Afterward, we stopped by to visit my sister and brother-in-law for a short while.
Their property is surrounded by an impressively beautiful collection of native plants and flowers, making it an absolute photographer’s paradise!
While admiring the beautiful flowering milkweed and savoring the heavenly fragrance of the Magnolia tree, my sister noticed a butterfly that I had completely overlooked.

What you see is the magnificent Great Spangled Fritillary (Speyeria cybele)! I wish I had my digital SLR camera with me because I could have zoomed in on this beautiful specimen. However, my iPhone will suffice in a pinch!
So pretty!
