Okay, let’s dive into a fun topic: TV shows you can watch again and again! Today’s writing prompt got me reminiscing about those series that just suck with me, the ones I can revisit time and time again. I have my top two right here:
First up, and without a doubt my all-time favorite, is M*A*S*H! Seriously, this show is a absolute masterpiece. Even with all the amazing television out there today, it’s hard to find something that reaches the same level of brilliance. It manages to be hilarious, heartwarming, and deeply poignant all at once. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend checking it out. You’ll notice a shift in tone as the series progresses; the later seasons definitely embrace a more serious and mature feel compared to the earlier, lighter episodes. I’ve probably lost count of how many times I’ve watched it from beginning to end – I’m guessing somewhere around 10 times so far; it just never gets old!
Next on my list is Quantum Leap (the original, not the recent reboot). What I loved most about this show was the sheer variety! Each episode transported you to a different time and place, creating a constantly fresh and engaging experience. Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell had such incredible chemistry, and it was a joy to watch their dynamic unfold. Another show I’ve rewatched countless times – somewhere around 7 full runs through! It’s just so good! It was a shame it was cancelled after five seasons!
