Do you know where flags go when their service is complete? At the North Park Flag Retirement Plaza.
This beautiful space is part of the 80th Division Monument & Garden at the corner of Babcock Boulevard\Ingomar Road, and it serves a vital purpose for the community.

Sitting just beside the monument’s striking stonework, the plaza includes five flagpoles and a ring of ten benches surrounding the burn pit. When a flag has flown proudly and now shows the marks of time— soil, tears, or fading— this is the place where it’s given a respectful and dignified farewell.
The Plaza gives Western PA families a place to respectfully retire flags that have served our nation. It’s a quiet, meaningful spot to pause, reflect, and honor the history those flags represent.
